Last week, after another day of writing at the library, I met Rachael for a drink. She asked about the Pays Basque. Her friend joined the conversation as I recounted Leslie and I's experiences in Biarritz, Bayonne, San Sebastián, and Saint-Jean-de-Luz. The trip reminded her of a poem, her favorite. She told me to look up the video of Frank O'Hara reading it aloud when I got home. I did. And it is beyond lovely so I'd like to share it avec toi.
