Hi all. I have a confession to make: I'm not in the mood today, for anything. I have hardly gotten any sleep in the past few days, my appetite is unfortunately off, and although I have ridiculous amounts of work to do, focusing, is nearly impossible. There, I said it, feels good to get that of my chest, although I do apologize to you for the Tuesday gloom.
To make it up to you, I thought we'd take a look at the birthday afternoon, first spent eating here,
and then, doing something new here. But perhaps I should get into a few more details?
We quickly lunched at Señor Taco, a local chain; Beginning with this scrumptious appetizer,
then enjoying our separate meals of tacos, quesadillas, tostadas,
and a vegetarian burrito with black beans, guacamole, rice, lettuce and tomato for me.
Next we were off to the big, exciting, birthday present of an activity for Miss Deanna...
HORSEBACK RIDING!
It was a first time for my sister and brother, the first in a long time for my mom,
a way overdue millionth time for my former "farming cowboy" father,
and a second for me. Remember my day of an introduction to horseback riding in Chile?
The hour and a half long ride was beautiful.
I hope you're enjoying the photographs I took from atop Colt.
And despite my brother's ever obvious enthusiasm, we had a fantastic time. Horses amaze me.
"I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing." -Agatha Christie
