Whether you celebrate the Christian holiday or not I'm sure we can all appreciate a little secular tradition, right? As a matter of fact, the Easter bunny, that we all know and love today, originated in Alsace, the region of Eastern France where I am currently living. There are certainly many festive treats to be found at the local pâtisseries, including the Pain au Pâques that I had as my dessert last night and finished off with breakfast this morning. It was yummy. Nonetheless I will not be at home in Strasbourg come Easter Sunday... I'll be in Istanbul, Turkey. Gosh, I am so beyond excited! I'm sure as far as last trips go this one will be a winner and I'll be back next Tuesday to confirm! Enjoy the long weekend bunnies ;)
