Yes, I did purposefully say it backwards :). There are so many Chilean dishes that I have come to love, Sopa Minestrone, Empanadas, Pastel de Choclo, Pebre, the list goes on and on! I get excited each time I eat it and enjoy the flavors so thoroughly as if it were the first taste.
However, I'm sorry to say that I'm officially over Pastel de Papas. I ended up eating it both for lunch and dinner and although it did taste good, actually even better than usual, I don't want to eat it again any time soon. As was the case yesterday, my saving grace ended up being the salads. Sorry for the blurry picture by the way! At lunchtime I had a plate of mixed arugula and cabbage and, for dinner, carrots and the remaining cabbage. Both times so yummy, my favorite part of the meal, and I had about 3 servings, ha, good thing veggies are good for you!
So if I feel as though even these new foods are getting old, then that means I must be referring to really old food... like American food... food that I haven't eaten in the past four and a half months? Indeed, I am. And very lucky for me, Mommy heard my prayers ;). She asked me today what foods she should bring. I know I can't ask for a real NY pizza but I'm thinking there's a few packaged treats in need of consuming! As much as it pains me to be the antonym to Heather's monthly principles, I simply cannot miss out on the chance to try the Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar, or indulge in my Dark Chocolate Late July Cookies! And I'm sure there's a few other things... What would be in your perfect home food package? It's a tough one. Personally, I'm going to try sleeping on it, nighty night sweethearts!
P.S. I just realized that this is my 2nd time today asking for help! I'm sorry, I feel bad for being so advice-needy. En serio, gracias.
