mi familia
I just received my residential placement for Ecuador and they're a family of 5 just like mine! I couldn't be more excited! The mother stays at home, the father is an electrical engineer and both are around my parents age. They have 3 kids Carlos Eduardo (17), Cristina (15), and Maria Rosa (7). Don't they just sound wonderful? And the oldest girl and boy both speak advanced English which will be good for the first few days before I'm comfortable. Also, they're omnivores but promise to make vegetarian meals just for me! Yay. By the way, I don't know if you've noticed yet but it's 1:30 and I'm already home. My boss misunderstood me when I mentioned my last day and thought I needed this entire week off. Fine by me! I went to Applefarm (a beautiful little store with local produce) with my mom. On the way home we also stopped by a Japanese restaurant where I got a California Roll with Brown Rice. I ate carrots and another super juicy peach on the side. I feel light and fresh and I couldn't be happier right now :). Now I'm on my way out the door... laying out in the beautiful sunshine! I could get used to this...
